The Emerson A6220 Dual Channel Eccentric Vibration Monitoring module is a high-reliability solution designed for critical rotating machinery protection within the AMS 6500 system. It provides accurate measurement of shaft eccentricity using non-contact displacement sensors, typically installed near bearing housings or thrust bearings with an eccentricity target. The module continuously compares vibration parameters against predefined alarm setpoints to trigger alarms and relay outputs for effective machinery protection.It is specifically optimized for low-speed applications (below 600 rpm), making it essential for large sleeve-bearing machines where shaft bow or bending detection is critical. As a 1-slot API 670-compliant module, it integrates seamlessly into PlantWeb®, Ovation®, and DeltaV™ systems via AMS software, enabling advanced predictive diagnostics and early fault detection for turbines, compressors, and other rotating equipment.
